Amanda Hipp-Renteria is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Clinical Supervisor at Sequoia Behavioral Health. She earned her master’s degree in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling in 2018 and has been providing psychotherapy since that time. Amanda became a licensed LMFT in 2022.

Amanda specializes in working with individuals experiencing eating disorders and disordered eating, with an emphasis on understanding the underlying emotional, relational, and unconscious processes that contribute to eating-disorder symptoms. Her clinical approach is integrative and informed by psychoanalytic and psychodynamic principles, while incorporating evidence-based interventions from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). She supports clients in developing effective coping skills, strengthening emotional regulation, increasing insight, and addressing maladaptive thought and behavioral patterns.

Outside of her clinical work, Amanda is a wife and mother of two. She enjoys CrossFit, running half marathons, spending time with animals, and volunteering in her community.
