Doctoral Internship Program

Overview

Ascend Behavioral Health and Sierra Meadows Behavioral Health operate a doctoral internship program in health service psychology. Our internship program was approved for provisional membership by the Association of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centers (APPIC) in May 2023. Our doctoral internship program is actively accepting applications through the APPIC approved application process. Our internship program is NOT at this time accredited through the American Psychological Association (APA). Our Staff ​

Jason Christopherson, PSYD, ABPP

Executive Director of Training

Jason Christopherson, PsyD, MSCP, ABPP earned his doctorate degree in clinical psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University. He is the only Board Certified Child/Adolescent Clinical Psychologist in Central California.  Dr. Christopherson is a neuropsychologically trained clinical psychologist and has been working with children, teens, and families for over a decade.

Annie Fujikawa, PhD

Director of Clinical Training

Annie Fujikawa, PhD, Director of Clinical Training, earned her PhD in clinical psychology from Rosemead School of Psychology at Biola University. She completed an APA Accredited Internship at Pacific Clinics. Prior to becoming the Director of Clinical Training, Dr. Fujikawa taught in academia for nearly a decade and was awarded the teaching excellence award. Dr. Fujikawa works with adults and couples in her clinical practice and has supervised therapists in training for over 10 years.
